You want to keep your kitchen worktop in pristine condition. That goes without saying. Nothing is easier with a ceramic worktop! All you need to clean the surface is a wet cloth. Any stains can easily be removed with some water and surface cleaner.

Be careful, though! Do not use aggressive chemicals or solid scourers. They may damage your work surface.

Heat-resistant
ArteCeramics is a range of ceramic surfaces baked at a high temperature, which makes them heat-resistant. Hot trays can be taken straight from the oven and placed on the ceramic worktop.

Stainproof
A ceramic worktop is waterproof. Liquids, such as spilt wine, cannot soak into the worktop as nothing is absorbed.

Scratch-resistant
A ceramic worktop made by Arte is protected against scratches. Despite this protection, Arte recommends you use a cutting board to chop meat, vegetables, etc. Reason being that the hardness of the material will exceed the hardness of your knives.

Hygienic
Hygiene is key in every kitchen. Arte's ceramic worktops are easy to keep clean. All you need are some soapy water and a cloth.

Robust & luxurious look
Thanks to its authentic elements, such as colour, shape and texture, these worktops have an extra wow-factor. A robust yet beautiful and luxurious look.

CSR
Arte manufactures its products in accordance with the CSR-policy implemented throughout the company. Corporate Social Responsibility means that Arte respects the environment, society as a whole and man and his future.

  • How does one maintain a ceramic worktop?

A ceramic worktop is easy to maintain. We recommend that you clean it with a detergent and a damp cloth. Ceramic worktops are easy to clean with these, as dirt tends to stick just to the surface.

  • What are the disadvantages of having a ceramic worktop?

A ceramic worktop is so hard that it is less resistant to a concentrated load. This means that when a sharp object is dropped from a height onto a corner, this could cause irreparable damage and the surface of the worktop could chip.

  • What are the advantages of having a ceramic worktop?

A ceramic worktop has a number of highly advantageous properties, in that it is

    • Extremely hard

    • Heat-resistant

    • Hardwearing

    • Light-weight

    • Maintenance-friendly

    • Hygienic

Especially the latter is extremely important in a kitchen. Because the ceramic surface has such a dense structure, stains and food rests have no opportunity to penetrate into the material. The raw materials combine to create a durable work surface with a robust look and feel.

  • What is ceramics?

The word „ceramics” originates from the Greek work „keramos”, meaning drinking vessel or earthenware vessel. In the main these were made from baked clay.  Nowadays, ceramics has a far wider meaning. When we think of ceramics, we don't just think about earthenware pots but also about china, tiles or even about the wash-basins and toilet bowls in our own homes. But did you know that ceramics is an ideal material for a work surface? A number of years ago ceramics were introduced as material for kitchen worktops and the product has, ever since, proved a vast success. One explanation for this are the numerous advantages offered by a ceramic work surface.
